The DB722 combines classic styling with modern features in a very versatile seven string layout. The body is swamp ash with a custom paint job and a mirror scratchplate from those nice chaps at Sims Custom paint shop. The neck is rock maple with an ebony finger board carrying 21 stainless steel jumbo frets on a 648mm (25") scale length. The back of the neck and headstock are finished in gloss black.
The tremolo bridge is the re re-engineered and re-launched Kahler 2317 giving great sustain and flawless tuning stability. At the other end of the neck we have Gotoh 381 tuners, roller string guides and a locking nut.
The pickups are a Bare Knuckle Nailbomb at the bridge and a Cold Sweat at the neck. Both are coil tapped through pull-push switches on the two volume controls. The other two controls are a master tone and the gain control for the onboard ZVEX super HO unit. The combination of these features gives a surprisingly good range of sounds without having to resort to any trick in/out of phase or parallel/series switching.
It's nice to have another seven string on the site and we could have a few more on here this year if all goes well. Watch this space!
