The CA622 is obviously an attempt at getting the Joe Satriani vibe. The body is Alder finished with a vapour metal deposition process to get the chrome appearance. The neck is East Coast rock maple with a maple bound ebony fingerboard and mother of pearl block inlays carrying 22 "low-wide" frets. The trem is a Kahler 2315 with a Kahler 5314 string lock, the nut is by Graph Tech and the tuners are Gotoh 381s.
Pickups are the inimitable "chrome" finished DiMarzio Mo'Joe at the bridge and a PAF Jo in the neck position all controlled through a chrome tipped LP style toggle switch and a single volume and a single tone control.
The neck is attached to the body with the Legra Guitars developed six bolt system that ensures a great tonal response, sustain and attack. The "chrome" finish is once again courtesy of Sims Custom Paint.
I got a real buzz out of making this; not least of all because, like me, it's a lefty so I get the chance to play it properly.
